A new world full of nature and wonder!
For the third year in a row, we are the creative partner of Expeditie Geluk, an initiative of Gezond Leven. This project helps schools and organisations to strengthen the mental well-being of children and young people in a playful way.
After two adventurous years in space, in 2025 we are moving to a completely new environment: nature.
Our collaboration with Artcore Society on this platform was seamless. Bold project ideas were brought to life as imaginative worlds we hadn’t even dared to envision ourselves. All while ensuring a high-performing platform that students and teachers can use with ease.
A blend of realism and magic
For the style, we combine realism with subtle stylising. This allowed us to play with impressionistic, painted textures in the fur of animals, the grass and the plants. The result? A world that is recognisable, but at the same time feels just that little bit magical.
Four worlds, twelve animals
We created an enchanting play environment, consisting of four natural zones:
· the ground layer with trees and bushes
· the pond
· the air
· the underground
We hid three animals in each zone. The zones are 360° environments, allowing young people to immerse themselves completely in nature and go on a journey of discovery together.
Playing together, growing together
During the game, children and teachers discover the animals together. Each animal found opens the door to a new challenge: playful classroom challenges that encourage teamwork and creativity.
The challenges are introduced in an accessible way through video messages from Timon Verbeeck, Sarah Mouhamou, and Arno the Kid. These familiar faces immediately get the children excited.
What we did as a digital agency
Concept & strategy
We started with the key question: how can we turn an educational project into an experience that children really want to immerse themselves in? Together with Gezond Leven, we developed a digital strategy that focuses on play, collaboration and well-being.
The choice of 360° worlds was crucial in this regard: they literally transport children into the heart of nature and enhance the sense of adventure.
Platform development
The platform is the gateway to Expeditie Geluk. We built a user-friendly online environment that both teachers and pupils can use intuitively.
Think simple navigation, smooth integration of videos and assignments, and a future-proof technical basis that can serve large groups simultaneously.
3D design & animation
From the fur of a squirrel to the glistening of water: with 3D design and animation, we created worlds that are realistic enough to remain recognisable, but at the same time magical enough to stimulate the imagination. The animals were also given subtle movements and details that bring them to life.
Third time in a row
For the third time in a row the A-team has created a virtual world for Expeditie Geluk by Vlaams Instituut Gezond Leven with the support of the Vlaamse Overheid and Assuralia.
